Adam

Working through the data generated in his PhD drove Adam’s early fascination with data manipulation tools and methods. This eventually led him to a career as a data scientist, working with big data. After talking with Ellie about the difficulties teachers face in predicting performance, Adam was inspired to apply his professional expertise to the problem, developing the first version of the Progress Stream algorithm

Ellie

Ellie has been teaching science since she finished studying Chemistry at university. In a ten year teaching career, spanning roles from class teacher to Head of Science and all roles in between, she has experienced most of the challenges facing schools when in comes to grade prediction. It was Ellie’s desire to make that process easier for her fellow teachers (and, let’s be real, herself) that kickstarted the whole Progress Stream journey.

Rachael

Rachael is extremely talented in mathematics, and literature and is an all-around fantastic colleague. As the person who writes the copy for this website, she also decides what goes into the bios.

Jokes aside, Rachael’s 15 years in tech and operations has left her well-suited to building out a start-up. More of a generalist than the rest of the team, Rachael spends her time clearing the road so they can deliver the great work our customers are used to.

Dan

Dan may have spent 23 years programming professionally, but his journey in tech began long before that. From building computers with his Dad at age ten to building a remote control car with a Raspberry Pi in his thirties, technology has been a passion for as long as he can remember. When Adam asked him to help build a platform for his prediction algorithm, there was only one possible answer.
